Standing with Sudan: Support communities affected by conflict and displacement. Support the response

Volunteer with TUSIC

Contribute your skills to responsible community action

TUSIC seeks volunteers who can contribute appropriate time, knowledge and experience while respecting community leadership, organizational standards and safeguarding responsibilities.

Purposeful volunteering

Effective volunteering starts with a real need and a clear role

Volunteers can strengthen an organization by contributing specialized knowledge, community connections, professional experience and practical support.

A useful volunteer role should have a defined purpose, responsibilities, supervisor, expected commitment and clear limits of authority.

TUSIC should recruit volunteers only when it has the capacity to select, orient, support and supervise them responsibly.

Ask a general question

Frequently asked questions

Volunteering with TUSIC

Can I volunteer remotely?

Some future roles may be remote, while others may require a particular location. Each approved role should state its location and participation requirements.

Does applying guarantee a volunteer position?

No. Placement depends on current organizational needs, suitability, screening results and TUSIC’s ability to provide appropriate supervision.

Will every role require a background check?

Not necessarily. Screening should be proportionate to the role. Work involving children, vulnerable people, sensitive data, finances or significant trust may require additional checks.

Are TUSIC volunteer roles paid?

Volunteer roles are generally unpaid unless the applicable posting expressly states otherwise. Any approved expense reimbursement should follow a written policy.

Can volunteering lead to employment?

Volunteering does not guarantee employment, preferential hiring or a future paid position with TUSIC.
