Annual reports

Transparent reporting as our work develops

This page will provide permanent access to TUSIC’s approved annual reports and related public-accountability documents once they have been completed and authorized for publication.

Public accountability

Annual reporting should explain both progress and limitations

An annual report should help members, communities, donors, partners and the public understand TUSIC’s activities, governance, use of resources and organizational development during a defined period.

Responsible reporting includes achievements, challenges, changes in plans and areas where evidence or capacity remains limited.

TUSIC will publish its first annual report after the relevant reporting period has ended and the report has completed the required internal review and approval process.

Report archive

TUSIC annual reports

Approved annual reports will remain available here as part of TUSIC’s permanent public record.

Archive status

No annual report is currently available

TUSIC has not yet published an annual report. The first approved report will be added to this archive after the applicable reporting period, internal review and publication authorization have been completed.

Future report structure

What TUSIC’s annual reporting should cover

The final structure may evolve with TUSIC’s activities and reporting obligations, but each report should provide a balanced view of the organization.

01

Leadership overview

A review of the reporting period, organizational priorities and significant developments.

02

Programs and activities

Approved information about projects, activities, participants and geographic scope.

03

Results and learning

Verified outputs, supported outcomes, challenges, limitations and organizational learning.

04

Governance

Board oversight, organizational policies, significant decisions and accountability practices.

05

Financial overview

Approved revenue, expenditure and fund-use information with the appropriate level of assurance.

06

Future priorities

Realistic organizational objectives and areas requiring further capacity or support.

Publication process

From organizational records to an approved public report

An annual report should not be published until its program, governance and financial information has been reviewed by the appropriate internal authorities.

01

Close the period

Confirm the reporting dates and complete required program, administrative and financial records.

02

Compile information

Bring together approved activity, governance, financial and impact information.

03

Verify

Check important statements, calculations, status labels, figures and supporting evidence.

04

Review disclosure

Assess privacy, safeguarding, security, confidentiality and legal considerations.

05

Approve

Obtain formal approval from the board or other properly authorized decision-makers.

06

Publish

Release the approved report with a stable link, publication date and accessible format.

Financial information

Financial statements and annual reports are related—but distinct

An annual report may include summarized financial information. Formal financial statements, reviews or audits have their own requirements and should be described accurately.

TUSIC should not describe financial information as audited unless an independent qualified auditor has completed an audit and issued the applicable report.

01

Internal financial information

Prepared from TUSIC’s accounting records for organizational oversight and reporting.

02

Compiled statements

Prepared by an accounting professional without providing audit or review assurance.

03

Reviewed statements

Subject to a professional review engagement providing limited assurance.

04

Audited statements

Subject to an independent audit engagement and formal auditor’s report.

Document control

Every report should remain identifiable and reliable

Visitors should be able to understand which report they are viewing and whether it has been corrected or replaced.

01 Reporting period

State the exact dates covered by the report.

02 Publication date

Show when the approved report was publicly released.

03 Version status

Identify corrected, revised or replacement editions.

04 Stable archive

Keep an enduring public link to each approved report.

Current reporting boundary

No annual report, audit or financial statement is implied

This page establishes TUSIC’s future public-report archive. It does not represent that TUSIC has completed an annual report, audit, review engagement or published financial statement. Those documents will only be listed after they exist and have been approved for publication.
